Fahime Farahnakian has worked in academia since 2009 in several positions, such as research assistant, teacher assistant, post-doctoral researcher, lecturer, senior researcher, and adjunct professor. She joined the University of Turku as a research visitor in 2011 and then, after 6 months, she received an offer to start my PhD. During my PhD, I also visited and worked at Birmingham University for almost half a year in 2015. She also worked at Kingston University in London as a research visitor in 2019. She has collaborated with these universities and worked on various projects. These international research visits greatly helped her in building new connections for further international collaborations in many ways. Besides her academic carrier, she has carried out many projects in several companies, such as Quva oy, Rolls Roys, Kongsberg, etc. She has co-leaded several projects (AAWA, AAMUAK, AutoPig, LOVE, etc.) funded by different resources, such as the Academy of Finland, Business Finland, and Tekes. Fahimeh is a member of IEEE and a frequent reviewer for scientific journals and high-quality conferences.
