Ayan Seal received the PhD degree in Engineering from Jadavpur University, West Bengal, India, in 2014. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Computer Science and Engineering Department, PDPM Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. He has visited the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Spain as a visiting research scholar. He is the recipient of several awards. He has received Sir Visvesvaraya Young Faculty Research Fellowship from Media Lab Asia, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. He is a senior member of IEEE. He has authored or co-authored of several journals, conferences and book chapters in the area of biometric and medical image processing. His current research interests include image processing and pattern recognition.
