Of Cope's (1889) three cervid species from the Delight, Alces semipalmatus is a junior synonym of Cervus? brevitrabalis, and specimens called Odocoileus ensifer may be the juvenile "spike" antlers of C.? brevitrabalis. The Ringold and Delight faunas probably are not identical in age; the Ringold fauna is early Blancan (latest Pliocene) and the Delight fauna may be Irvingtonian (middle Pleistocene) in age.
