Our aim in this note is to study the existence and uniqueness of solutions to a phase-field
system, based on type III heat conduction, with a logarithmic potential. The main difficulty is
to prove that the order parameter remains in the physically relevant range and this is
achieved by deriving proper a priori estimates.
