🏗️ Building the capacity of Solomon Islands Government and Honiara City Council to plan, manage and delivery quality infrastructure. Thanks Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies! 👏
We’ve had a busy week delivering another round of our Infrastructure Short Course. This week, we collaborated with the Solomon Islands Infrastructure Program (SIIP), supported by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), to create a bespoke version of our course for a delegation from the Solomon Islands. Over three days, led by Adjunct Professor Martin Locke with the help of leading experts we covered a variety of topics & facilitated learnings tailored to the delegation’s specific learning objectives. As part of the course we were also able to offer the group an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Sydney Harbour Bridge Cycleway project through a site visit hosted by Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW). We were honored to be asked to curate and deliver this course. It was a fun & productive week with an enthusiastic delegation eager to learn! 💡💡💡 #shortcourse #solomonisland #infrastructure #future

Can #quality #infrastructure be delivered at the same time as lifting the capacity of local industry and contractors? We think so. This case study documents three complementary strategies used by SIIP to do just that with a refurbishment of a local market house in Central Province, #SolomonIslands. https://lnkd.in/de7gpehP
