U februaru 2024. godine, u saradnji sa Institute Mihajlo Pupin, uz podršku UNDP Serbia i Ministarstva zaštite životne sredine, MPC Properties je ispred Ušće Shopping Centra instalirao energetski-neutralan sistem za smanjenje aero-zagađenja. Ovaj pionirski projekat koristi alternativne izvore energije – kinetičku energiju saobraćaja i energiju vetra – za napajanje postrojenja koja prečišćavaju vazduh u okolini šoping centra. Prvi rezultati pokazuju da ovaj sistem ima veliki potencijal za smanjenje zagađenja, a detaljne analize uticaja očekuju se krajem godine, tokom grejne sezone. Sistem, pored ekoloških prednosti, nosi i širi društveni značaj jer podiže svest o važnosti zelene energije i održivosti. UŠĆE Shopping Center, Belgrade’s landmark retail destination, is currently transforming with a new focus on fashion, food & beverage (F&B), and leisure. At this year’s ProcureCon conference in Barcelona, our colleague Aleksandra Petrovic, presented on the transformative power of #sustainable practices in procurement processes, highlighting their critical role in the company’s future strategy. UŠĆE EKO FEST 24 proteklog vikenda okupio je veliki broj posetilaca, koji su kroz interaktivne radionice i predavanja produbili svoju povezanost s prirodom i podigli svest o njenom očuvanju. Deca su imala priliku da se upoznaju sa svetom pčela, rade sa vunom i teksasom, kao i da slušaju o pticama, biljkama i životinjama, dok su posetioci uživali u prijatnom ambijentu uz dobru muziku i domaće gastronomske specijalitete. Iako je snažan vetar prekinuo deo programa, na nekoliko sati Ušće je postalo centralno mesto u Beogradu sa kojeg se širila snažna poruka o ljubavi prema planeti i važnosti održivog razvoja. Ovaj događaj je deo šire #ESG strategije MPC Properties, čiji je cilj podizanje svesti i edukacija zajednice o značaju zaštite životne sredine. This recognition further affirms the company’s commitment to sustainable development and environmentally responsible construction, which are pivotal aspects of our business strategy. At the national conference held in honor of World Green Building Week – WGBW24, the certificate was received on behalf of the company by Jovana Cvetkovic, Development, TO and Innovations Director. The recognition was presented to her by Bojana Zeković, President of the Serbia Green Building Council, Dragana Korica (M Arch), Executive Director of the Council, and Aleksandra Sofronijević, State Secretary in the Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure.
