Creating these reels was more than just documenting their experience. It was an opportunity to learn hands-on skills in video production, challenge their creativity, and work closely as a team to tell their unique stories. 📸✨ Every frame reflects the hard work, laughter, challenges, and unforgettable moments that defined their journey. 🌟 And let’s not forget the special touch—the Youth Haferland hymn, created by our participants, with the help of AI, adding an authentic and personal soundtrack to their story! 🌟 Through these videos, they didn't just capture memories—they created art, learned new skills, and found new ways to express themselves. 🌟 Unlocking Infinite Possibilities: A Recap of Our Workshop with Aperio Intelligence 🌟 We are thrilled to share the success of our recent workshop, delivered in partnership with Aperio Intelligence: INVESTIGATIVE SKILSS WORKSHOP! 🎉 This full-day event, part of our series DofE Youth Events, conducted in English, was a fantastic opportunity for young people from Romania and Ukraine to explore new horizons and ignite their passions. With 15 enthusiastic participants, the workshop covered a range of transformative themes, including: 🔍 Due diligence and how does it work ⚠️ High risk industries ⚠️ 🌍 Navigating Global Supply Chain Challenges ⚖️ Labor Exploitation 💰 Financial Crime 📰 Fake News 🌐 Open Source Intelligence Thanks to our partnership with Aperio Intelligence, we were able to open the door to a world of possibilities for these bright young minds. We’re still buzzing with excitement from our incredible event, Shared Horizons: An Ukrainian-Romanian Celebration, hosted at the British Ambassador’s Residence in Bucharest! The evening was all about acknowledging the strength, determination, and achievements of our inspiring participants. A big congratulations to the 60 young people - Romanians and Ukrainians, who were celebrated awarded by HE British Ambassador Giles Portman, including young people from Liceul Teoretic „decebal” Din Constanța, JRS Romania, Fundatia Romanian Angel Appeal, and Stand By Me Virtual Award Center. Whether they achieved their Bronze level in The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation or completed sections of the programme, their spirit and commitment shone brightly. We also honored the dedicated Award Leaders and Coordinators whose unwavering support and commitment were instrumental in making this journey possible - without them, none of this would have been possible. The event brought together voices from the Ukrainian and British Embassy in Bucharest, UNICEF, UNICEF Romania, the International Award Foundation, and key community members who shared their stories of overcoming challenges, the unwavering support from the Romanian community, and the transformative impact of the DofE framework. Shajjad Rizvi MBE provided valuable insights into the beginning of the Award program globally, Mihaela Mariş emceed the event, and Anca Doczi Luchian led the discussion with both adults and participants involved in the Stand by Me initiative. The lesson that will stay with us for a very long time is what a young person was saying: In the face of challenges, our greatest strength lies in our unity and the shared commitment to supporting one another. Shared Horizons: A Ukrainian-Romanian Youth Celebration 🌟 Yesterday, we celebrated the inspiring Stand By Me initiative at the British Ambassador’s Residence in Bucharest, recognizing the resilience and achievements of young displaced people from Ukraine and Romanians from all over the country. Born from the collaboration between UNICEF and the International Award Foundation, Stand By Me has provided a sense of purpose and support to young people and adults affected by the military conflict, helping them thrive and integrate into their communities. The ceremony honoured 60 young people who either completed their Bronze Award level in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award or at least one section of the programme, highlighting their determination and spirit. The event brought together representatives from the Ukrainian and British Embassies, UNICEF, the International Award Foundation and key community members who shared their stories of overcoming adversity. They spoke about the challenges they faced, the unwavering support from the Romanian community, and how the DofE framework helped shape their journeys. Artem Rak, a young Bronze Award holder who shared his testimony on the panel, captured the impact of the journey, saying, “It was the best thing that has ever happened in my life.” 🌟 The event went beyond recognition, allowing young people to engage directly with distinguished guests, including H.E. Mr. Giles Portman, the British Ambassador to Romania, sparking inspiring conversations. The reception that followed was a chance to connect, share experiences, and celebrate the resilience of our community. To add to the occasion, @Andrew Noble delivered a powerful and motivational speech, leaving everyone inspired and energized. Ați tot văzut pe paginile noastre, în ultima perioadă, reel-uri de la Youth Haferland. Lăsați-ne să vă spunem care e povestea din spatele lor și cum am ajuns să lansăm CREATIVE CHALLENGE - YOUTH HAFERLAND 2024. ☝️ 🤓 O parte extrem de importantă a procesului de învățare este reflecția. Tocmai de aceea, drumul dezvoltării personale în Award o include și încurajează participanții să se oprească de câte ori au nevoie pentru a o face. Youth Haferland este o EXPERIENȚĂ extrem de dinamică, plină, diversă și solicitantă. Tinerii care au luat parte la acesta au fost provocați să exploreze noi moduri de a-și exprima creativitatea și de a-și dezvolta abilitățile. Creative Challenge a fost o oportunitate unică pentru acești tineri de a-și pune în valoare ideile, lucrând în echipă, învățând unii de la alții și împărtășind momente memorabile. 🫶 📱Fiecare reel creat este o documentare a acestor experiențe intense, a provocărilor depășite și a lecțiilor învățate. De la cadrele spectaculoase surprinse în inima Haferlandului până la mesajele inspiraționale transmise, fiecare videoclip spune o poveste despre curaj, creativitate și comunitate. La finalul festivalului, ne-am luat un timp bine meritat de a viziona toate creațiile lor și am dat spațiu ca fiecare reel să aibă o voce care să ii spună povestea. Suntem extrem de mândri de ceea ce au realizat tinerii participanți și abia așteptăm să vedem cum vor continua să ne inspire.
