🚀 With less than 1 week until the 75th International Astronautical Congress (IAC2024) in Milan, organized by the International Astronautical Federation, we at ROSPIN are excited to present our projects and team on such an international stage! 🌍 🛰️ ROSPIN-SAT-1, Romania's first open-source CubeSat for Earth Observation, is designed to contribute to forrest monitoring and serve as an educational platform. We’ll share details about its technical design, mission objectives, and collaborative opportunities at the Small Earth Observation Missions session. 👩🏫 ROSPIN School, our educational programme for high school students, has empowered over 800 participants to explore space, with more than 500 graduates. We’ll present its impact at the Interactive Presentation session, focusing on the integration of technical, business, teamwork and management skills. 💡 International collaboration is at the core of our organisation, and we’re excited to connect with professionals, researchers, and space enthusiasts from across the globe. ✨ As we approach the weekend, we have major news to announce – we are expanding our team and looking for new members for ROSPIN-SAT-1! ✨ ROSPIN-SAT-1 is our first project, which laid the groundwork for our organization and opened the path to everything we are today. From this project, the entire initiative was born, and we are now at a point where we have the first hardware components and are preparing to finalize our lab at our headquarters, where we will be working on them. With initial funding in place and an active crowdfunding campaign, our project is advancing rapidly. 🛰️ Therefore, all ROSPIN-SAT-1 subsystems are recruiting, including the newly established Operations Subsystem! We are looking for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students based in Bucharest to help us take the satellite further, and ultimately, into space. We are also open to candidates from other parts of the country in exceptional cases – please reach out if this applies to you. 🔧 If you are passionate about space and technology and want to contribute to a CubeSat satellite project that adheres to ESA standards, this is the perfect opportunity! 🌟 Announcing the 4th Edition of ROSPIN School! 🌟 We are excited to launch the latest edition of ROSPIN School, an innovative educational programme dedicated to high school students from Romania who are passionate about space science and technology. This year, ROSPIN School benefits from a unique crossover with ROSPIN-SAT-1, our open source CubeSat mission for Earth Observation (EO), bringing real-world experience directly into the classroom. 🚀 The ROSPIN-SAT-1 team, with years of expertise in satellite design and development, will guide high schoolers through the world of EO. In their development years, high school participants will have the opportunity to learn about techniques used in EO space missions, as well as standard procedures, while learning about the benefits of environmental monitoring and getting hands-on with the latest technological developments. Key highlights 💡 🛰️ Interdisciplinary Learning 👉 Teams of 4-6 high schoolers will work together, combining theory and practical skills. 🛰️ Professional Guidance 👉 The speakers include key members from the ROSPIN-SAT-1 team, as well as ROSPIN leaders, sharing their knowledge on space technology, EO, business, and communication. 🛰️ Invaluable Experience 👉 The online phase of the programme runs for 2 months for all, continuing with a hands-on final stage where the top-performing teams will apply what they have learned in a real-world context.
