EU-Project FCH2RAIL has been nominated for the Best Innovation Award of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership with it's stationary test bench for Fuel Cell Hybrid PowerPacks, jointly developed by CNH2 - Spanish National Hydrogen Center and #CAF. Exploring the Application of New #AI Technologies in the #Railway Sector 🚄💡 At CAF, we had the opportunity to dive into the fascinating world of #ArtificialIntelligence applied to rail at the event organized by the #ICAIHUB Train at Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI-ICADE. In a space that brought together industry experts, operators, infrastructure managers, and academia, we shared insights into advancements and challenges, exploring how AI can transform reliability, predictive maintenance, and energy efficiency in railway transportation. Our colleague Asier Alonso presented CAF’s latest innovations in advanced modeling and predictive maintenance, showcasing how digital twins and other AI technologies can enhance railway operations. It was an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from colleagues at ADIF, Renfe, iryo, OUIGO España and other industry leaders —all working together to drive a safer, more innovative industry. 🔑 The combination of knowledge and innovation is essential to shaping the future of rail!

🚄 Mid-term Event for #FP1MOTIONAL: Shaping the Future of European Rail! At the recent FP1-MOTIONAL Mid-term event, where we participated as representatives of #CAF, we wrapped up the development phase and are now moving into two critical years of demonstration. This event allowed us to review the progress made by each subgroup over the first two years and to plan key actions for the next phase. FP1-MOTIONAL, as part of #EU_Rail, aims to transform European rail management, creating an interoperable, resilient, and fully digitalized system that enables seamless multimodal transport and positions rail as Europe’s preferred mode of travel. Our work is organized into two main areas: planning and operations for traffic systems, and digital integration solutions for all European rail destinations. We’re excited to be part of this journey towards a more sustainable and connected rail future.

🚋 The #LiègeTram has reached its final destination! It has now arrived at the stadium of Standard de Liège football club, marking a major milestone in the opening of the city’s tram line. This successful step allows us to move forward to full-scale testing and the pre-operation phase.   The LAC and track works are complete, with only final adjustments and finishing touches at the stations remaining. Now, we’re one step away from the finish line: conducting tests across the entire line to officially kick off the pre-operation phase.   At #CAF, we are proud to have played a key role in this project. A huge thank you to the entire team for their dedication and professionalism, once again proving their commitment to excellence. Special thanks to all the collaborators involved in making this another success to add to our track record!   Now, let's go for #ATP and #SAEIV testing on the full line! The opening of the line to the public will soon be a reality.

#CAFTeam ⭐SPOTLIGHT ON ANA REPARAZ⭐ Meet Ana Repáraz Gómara, a proactive professional at #CAF since 2018. She values CAF's commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, and she notes that the multidisciplinary team model empowers everyone to contribute from day one, encouraging out-of-the-box thinking in a dynamic environment. Ana is currently involved in the project for the German transport authorities Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr AöR (VRR) and Nahverkehr Westfalen-Lippe to supply over a total of 76 battery-powered trains for North Rhine-Westphalia. These state-of-the-art trains, which can operate on non-electrified routes, are part of #Germany's efforts to decarbonize rail transport. CAF will also manage fleet maintenance for 30 years.
