As a leader of Bravva Angels community, I devoted myself these years to women entrepreneurs with a lot of joy and meaning. So you might wonder why did I invest now my time and resources to creating the academic program Incubator de Incredere under the Bravva Female Founder brand? Maybe a bit of context helps.... I describe myself as an explorer, with a drive to create services and experiences with a direct impact in people’s lives – economic and wellbeing. My core business foundation is the services business. My experience is in consultancy, management, venture capital, education, training & coaching. I worked as a corporate manager and CEO for many years and in my 40s I started looking for authenticity, seeing the large disconnect between who I was fully as a person and the expectations I created to the external world. Business should be joyful, creative, and aligned with our personal vision. Then it offers a huge upside systemically. At 44 I left the corporate world instead, looking for meaning, freedom, and building projects I love with people alike. I started as an entrepreneur in education, as co-founder of an entrepreneurship BA program. Since then, I became a partner or investor in various companies, working with numerous startups and mentoring founders. I also coached teams of students in business to create and grow their projects. I discovered the untapped potential of women entrepreneurs, to achieve economic growth and professional satisfaction. I started Bravva, an initiative to support gender diversity in entrepreneurship and venture capital. Based on the huge gender gap I created a mission for myself to help amazing women grow their companies – whether through angel financing, consultancy or educational programs. I noticed how different it is for us women in business to align our priorities - personal and professional, how we react to the potential of failure. Being an entrepreneur takes a toll on everything, as the stakes are so high. I made it my priority to create a business growth program for female founders, where we anchor our confidence in deeper roots, we become resourceful in mindset, we plan our business growth in an integrative way and in a community setup. We called it Incubator de Incredere for a reason. It is my deep belief that by having thousands of women go through this program in the next 15 years, the society can have an entrepreneurial ecosystem so much more diverse, creative, sustainable, balanced, deeply rooted in community sharing and problem solving, having a more evolved wealth spread. Exciting evening for angels, as two communities joined to share and celebrate the year of 2024, last evening DORO-16, for the end of the year edition of Ginger Night! TechAngels Romania and Bravva Angels show that collaboration is key for growing companies from Romania to unicorns and gazelles. After a number of co-investments this year and collaborating on educational events to promote angel investing, it was time to celebrate in a 10X…mas party together! Last evening was also about celebrating venture capital as an ecosystem and we enjoyed Marius Ghenea as a speaker presenting cases for exit success and what to expect in 2025. Kudos to 2024 angel award winners: George Mihaescu for risk taking, Raluca Negrea for engagement and Teo MERCIONIU for learning. Each received a book about Business Strategies - written by a friend and person I admire for their curiosity and drive to understand the world and teach others - Sorin Anagnoste - Thank you! The personal progress of the women was acknowledged last evening by Bravva Female Founders partners Monica Aliman and Cristina Patesan in a very warm and full of joy speach.
