QlikView Review

PROS: I have been working with numerous statistical tools but Qlikview is still the best when it comes to visualizations because they are pleasing to the eyes and are easy to generate. As such, users can perform generation tasks rapidly from data they gain from different enterprise databases.

CONS: The UI is lacklaster and can use some improvements. The software also needs to have a more friendly exprience for end users who are not developers.

PROS: The app is very intuitive and the learning curve is not steep at all. This is our experience. I use it to sort different performance indicators and I used it first in our compay. I had the chance to teach others and they picked up pretty quick. They quickly learned how to add data from spreadsheet and perform Qlikview automations. Now, we have an overview of how our software architecture is performing thanks to Qlikview.

CONS: I cannot think of any flaws.

PROS: First of all, this app has wonderful customer support team. Secondly, this product is simple and intuitive one, and it offers everything you need to run your business. It provides powerful data source connectivity, perfect performances, visual graphics and auto assosiciative models. There are lot of analysis, sharing options, publishing and great integration with other companies and networks.

CONS: There is a lack of social collaborations and debugging options.

PROS: With Qlikview, I can make complex data understable using simpler visual representations. It has an awesome user interface. Data handling is also very easy to do in the platform.

CONS: I am not high on how licenses and permits are tiered and made available. Maybe they can make it better in the future. I think more users would come in if some improvements are done.

PROS: I like that Qlikview for desktop is a freeware yet feature-rich. As such, we can do anything we want with our data like find connections and integrate with SQL or Oracle. It is even a good tool for both amateurs and experts who want to get more out of their data.

CONS: I do not like the cost of CAL licenses and the fact that it has limited features for end-users.

PROS: QlikView is user friendly and intuitive UI. I love the new associative capabilities, the customization options are much better than any other app I have used before. It’s simply to use and simple to develop. Great customer support and user community service.

CONS: I cannot scale beyond departmental dashboards, also debugging and reporting capabilities in IDE are very limited. I don’t like the windows style and their licensing model is very confusing.

PROS: I love the tool. The visual analytics, predictive analytics, and the dashboarding are the higlights for me. Qlikview is very helpful in data handling and analysis.

CONS: I'm not much of a fan of the adhoc reporting tool and trend analytics. They can do a bit of improvement for those. Also, the third-party integrations can also be improved just like the tool performance.

PROS: Qlikview has an unrivaled capability to uncover insights and to support collaboration. It even lets users find the data they need through its powerful search function and to see the relationships between data sets. It is an exceptional feature especially when you need to find hidden connections. Plus, it has a free version that you can use as long as you want.

CONS: Qlikview requires some familiarization when it comes to formatting options to make them visually understandable. This is very different compared to tableau's drag-and-drop functionality.

PROS: Qlik Apps are simple and easy to use and the good thing is that it can be used even by those who don’t deal with data. It is customizable solution and the data can be displayed in basic format or visually appealing. I like how data can be transferred simple from apps to Excel.

CONS: If there is a need to do some calculations with the data you have to export it into Excel or Google Drive. I’m not sure that I can make calculations within Qlik.

PROS: I like that we can simplify the flow between screens and views. There are lot of subviews so we can see button driven user environment. There are no difficulties when it comes to customization and building dashboards for data anaysis. Everything is easy and simple with this app. It offers lot of options and features for web browser databases and there is option to export files to Excel or Access.

CONS: The speed can be slow when I try to set up the dashboard with Microsoft Access.

PROS: This tool has quick and innovative business intelligence interfaces and solutions and it has huge and helpful online community. Also, it makes the data source knittting and discoveries of an issue. I like that it can handle huge amount of datasets and it offers free and fully functional personal edition.

CONS: The initial learning curve is steep. They could include more design guidence so they can ensure best data modelling practices.

PROS: I like how easy and intuitive this product is. It has great associative capabilities and the customization options are being improved. The support team is perfect and it has wonderful and large user community serivce, so you can never face any misunderstandings about this product.

CONS: It doesn’t allow me to scale beyond departmental dashboards and there is limitation within debugging and reporting capabilities. Also, the windows style and licensing model is confusing.

PROS: With QlikView and free desktop version I can easily build a relational model so I can set it up to other users. I can share the load script with everyone’s machine and they are allowed to ask and answer question, like never before. The app is easy to use and runs fast.

CONS: I would like to see more keyboard optimizations especially when building objects. Also, I can’t select those who haven’t opted yet, on my mailing list. When I try to filter and create selections to QV experience, the Key 1 doesn’t appear so there is no way to select them.

PROS: I can easily connect back end databases of all types, I can scrub data and create specific sort and selection fields. QlikView allows you to use it for free, to taste it on your own at zero cost. You are provided with many trainings and videos even on YouTube, so you won’t have any problems with using this software. You can do 100% of your job. Very useful and powerful tool.

CONS: I need to add macros manually instead to add in QV automatically. For e.g. I need to export A CSV file of a table directly into QlikView, it takes 3 lines of code in macro screen, and the trouble is that the app won’t execute macros with the console automation. I would like to see some improvements for this issue.

PROS: We are able to simplify the flow between various views and screens. QlikView provides us with all subviews to see button driven user environment. There are no customization difficulties when it comes building the dashboards for data analyses, this app makes everything easy and simple. For web browser database there are lot of options and features and if you want to learn how to use them, you need to pay attention to their trainings. We love the ability to export files to Excell or Access.

CONS: Whenever I try to set up the dashboards with Microsoft Access in the background the speed decreases. Also, transition graphic refreshes with no animation. Maybe, all of these are because of the limited virtual memory.

PROS: Thanks to QlikView and its great desktop version I can build relational modes and set it up to others. I’m able to share load script with evryone’s machine and everyone is allowed to ask questions and provide answers.

CONS: The app needs more keyboard organizations when building objects. In addition, there is no way to select those who haven’t opted yet. Also, the key 1 doesn’t appear whenever I try to filter and create selections to QV.

PROS: This app is easy to use and has great customer support team. QlikView provides us with powerful data source connectivity, auto associative model, great performances and wonderful graphics. This app offers great set of analysis, publishing and sharing options, and great collaboration with other networks and companies.

CONS: In my opinion QlikView lacks of debugging options and social collaborations. There is great restriction on personal edition and the auto associative model is over engineering.
