pCloud Review

PROS: Our company has had bad experiences with other cloud storage services. That is why we are fortunate to have encountered pCloud because it has given us a lot of storage space at no cost. On top of that, it saves the previous versions of files so that we can fix mistakes any time. It also gives us peace of mind that we can have business continuity in case of system failures because it keeps multiple copies of our data in different locations. And although we initially did not like the monthly fee the service exacted, it has more than made up for its fabulous features and tools.

CONS: It took our business a while to find a cloud storage service that suits our budget and needs. For its price point, it is feature-rich so I can't say I dislike anything about it.

PROS: pCloud and I are a match made in IT heaven. I work on multiple devices—from desktop to phones, to tablets—and it’s important for me to have access to my data from all of these. I have been on the lookout for a storage system that would answer to all my requirements, and I am so glad that I discovered this software. With it, I can now upload, share, and download data to and from pCloud. My concerns of not having enough storage space, and security, as well as reliability—pCloud addresses all of these. Plus, it back-ups my data automatically too and it has an app version that I like!

CONS: You can’t call to get in touch with their support team. This can be frustrating because sending messages back and forth can be time-consuming.

PROS: It is helpful that pCloud lets me have a large volume for storage at a single go without having to spend a lot and do so incrementally. At first, I cringed at the amount I had to pay but I realized that it was advantageous in the long run. This has given me peace of mind because I no longer have to worry about not being able to save large-sized files to the cloud. It is also amazing that I can use pCloud as seamlessly on mobile as on the computer.

CONS: pCloud should beef up their server security rather than be satisfied with encrypting file transfers. It would be also helpful if the Crypto folders are less challenging to utilize.

PROS: I’ve recently upgraded my pCloud account to a lifetime membership after years of getting a feel of the software. This is a pretty unique offering and I think pCloud is the only asset management platform that offers this. After biting that bullet, I can now store all—and I mean ALL of it—on pCloud. One more thing that I find particularly useful about this tool is that it acts as a back-up for data that I save on other data management tools such as DropBox and Google Drive.

CONS: I have zero complaints about the desktop version. However, the mobile version leaves a lot to be desired. Sure, the layout looks great, but the functions are not up to par with its desktop version.

PROS: The first thing I noticed about pCloud is how easy to use it is, both on desktop and mobile. Speaking of the latter, it has such an intuitive dashboard that can support the fast movement of files in the cloud. And when it comes to its support for operating systems, it has numerous ones under its belt so I can streamline my work process.

CONS: pCloud should improve the accessibility of files offline because currently, it only makes available the information that you tagged for offline access. It would also help if pCloud could synchronize with your local folder to prevent potential data loss.

PROS: Before pCloud, I used Dropbox. However, I decided to make the change because of the difficult integration processes with other software. With pCloud, I have never had a problem synchronizing my files to the cloud. The platform has even streamlined my workflow because of its integrated media player available on both desktop and mobile. What's more, I can save as many files as I need to the system because of its lifetime plan that includes 2 TB of space and a Crypto folder that offers ultra-encryption for files.

CONS: The link sharing process on pCloud takes too many clicks, which is all too time-consuming because I share a lot of media files on a daily basis. Apart from that, I have no other problem with pCloud's sharing capability or other features.

PROS: The best thing about pCloud is its strong encryption of files uploaded to their system. This gives me assurance that my data is safe against hacking attacks while being easily available to me whether I am on my laptop or mobile device. In line with that, I find pCloud to be easy to work with because of its user-friendly layout. On top of that, it streamlines my work because of its unlimited and fast download and upload speeds, which is beneficial since I deal with a lot of large-sized files. When it comes to their pricing, I can say that they are better than the competition because of their affordable packages.

CONS: The only thing I do not like about pCloud is the fact that their Windows backup client does not allow the upload of multiple files at the same time. This means that if I have to store to the cloud hundreds of files, I would have to upload them one by one, which is very time-consuming.

PROS: I’ve weighed my options and have decided to switch to a lifetime membership plan. With it I get a lifetime of 2 terabytes worth of storage for a one-time payment—sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me. Sure, it requires a bigger shell-out of money, but this is a cheaper option in the long run. After all, it is very convenient with its cloud-based settings, freeing up all my local storage space. Syncing, backing, and downloading is easy as well, even for heavier files like photos. My customers can attest to the latter and they have been giving me positive feedback on it.

CONS: Some integrations have been removed from the system. I do wish they would allow social media apps to access pCloud files again so uploading will be easier.

PROS: pCloud is the go-to service for my company for many years now when it comes to storing files and documents in the cloud without having to worry about my information being hacked because of its encryption capabilities. Uploading data to it is a hassle-free process, even, and it lets us free up some space in our hard drives for newer files, especially now that pCloud offers 2 TB of storage. Despite the large volume of data you can upload to the system, it does not break the bank, which is one reason that we are still happy with it.

CONS: pCloud has met all of my expectations from security, intuitiveness, storage, and access. So no, there is nothing I dislike about it.

PROS: pCloud is a feature-rich cloud storage solution that does not have a steep asking price compared to similar services. It has enabled me to say goodbye to another cloud storage platform so that I can save more money while gaining access to a whole load of better features and tools.

CONS: While it is commendable that support is accessible to all pCloud users, my experience with them so far is not so good. The first time I requested assistance I only received an automated reply that did resolve my problem. It took an escalation to a team leader before I received the help I required.

PROS: I give pCloud a lot of points because its desktop client is lightweight and does not take up so much space on my computer. This has let me upload my data to the cloud easily for easy access when I am on the move.

CONS: pCloud should include the capability to edit files online using the web app.

PROS: pCloud has a wonderful desktop client with a clean design that lets me upload my files to the cloud with ease. That is what I need from a cloud storage service and pCloud has not failed me in that regard. Because of this solution, I do not have to use up so much of my local space.

CONS: More than a dislike, I am of the opinion that it is strange for pCloud to provide a lifetime plan for one-time payment but only time will tell if this business model works out well for them.

PROS: Our business is subscribed to pCloud's Lifetime package that gives us access to 2 TB of cloud storage. I like that we only have to shell out money once so we can focus on other things. It is also advantageous that they offer high speeds for both uploading and downloading. Additionally, I like the latest feature they rolled out, which lets us create branded URLs for sharing.

CONS: pCloud should look into integrating with software outside of the Adobe suite of products.
