Litmos is one of the leading corporate learning systems on the market built to accelerate training of both internal and external teams. It won our Expert’s Choice Award for 2019. Despite being able to automate both internal and external learning programs, Litmos is still referred to as the worlds simplest and easiest to use a learning management system that requires neither dedicated training nor expensive installations.
The company’s target group entails mostly midmarket companies and established enterprises, while its client base already lists a number of prominent Fortune 1000 members. The system, nevertheless, is not entirely focused on large and corporate teams – Litmos still belongs to the group of affordable eLearning systems with dedicated ‘up to 100 users’ packages a small company could consider. In fact, Litmos is often preferred to seemingly cheaper LMS tools because it doesn’t require a setup fee and doesn’t limit on-point customer support to a particular plan. The price will rather depend on how many users you wish to involve, and the type of learning support you wish to focus on. To make the process of attaining and selling courses even smoother, Litmos established a number of valuable third-party partnerships with platforms such as Shopify (you can distribute your Litmos courses there for free).
Needless to say, a vast group of integrations is a guarantee that the system will blend in with your software ecosystem, and won’t require you to make any specific changes in order to run it. Litmos integrates with Salesforce to increase sales reps performance, train licensed users, and leverage training for customers, employees, and compliance, among others. Next to its convenient Salesforce partnership, Litmos works impeccably with Okta, OneLogin, Ping, Box, Centrify, and other similar systems, and it is one of the few SCORM certified learning & security systems.
But let’s get down to details and see how Litmos enhances learning productivity. To start with, the system is hassle-free and less cluttered than standard admin dashboards, with a central chart that compiles user logins, completed tasks, and links to the admin’s activities; and a left-positioned bar that lists the courses, groups, conversations, reports, and system settings. This takes care of everything you need to manage a successful learning program.
The system allows you to create interactive courses (both directly on the dashboard and by importing third-party content), and implement leaderboards, badges, points, and other gamification features to motivate your team. Litmos is also a customization-sensitive system, where you can tailor learning paths end-to-end, tailor employees’ curricula in line with the course sequence, and report on any course, module, or even separate task. Outside the course shell, Litmos offers an inviting base of reference docs and learning materials users will have access to from any device or location.
Show MoreIntegrating Litmos with your system offers an array of distinctive benefits for your team and your clients. To start with, you will have no troubles deploying this system, and getting it up and running in just a few minutes. You will find the intuitive interface understandable and easy to navigate, and thus allowing you to create amazing courses very fast. The affordable pricing scheme and array if integrations further complement the productivity effects of this tool.
A long way ahead of its competitors
Backed up by the reputation of a top performing software provider, Litmos strives to remain closely connected to the newest trends and opportunities in the industry. It is therefore packed with advanced features that improve the quality of training and information retention by your learners, regardless of the type of content you’re sharing with them.
A whole new level of course creation & trainee interaction
Creating course libraries will not always be a rewarding experience, at least when working around dull and complex subject matters. Litmos, nevertheless, adds a unique gamification vibe to the process and makes it significantly less time-consuming for busy administrators. To start with, you can import files from Box and Dropbox accounts, or drag-and-drop such from the local database. Creating new files using the system’s WYSIWYG editor is also a breeze.
The format and type won’t matter, as Litmos supports even Tin Can and SCORM. Instructors looking to display video materials shouldn’t worry either – Litmos is fully capable of supporting large files.
Once designed, all modules are arranged in alphabetical order, and thereof easy to find. Users can also look for them using filter data such as keywords, categories, course/content types, and dates. Admins also feel comfortable using the system because all their lectures and assessments are easily transferrable from one course to the other, and they can evaluate achievements using the same approach. For the purpose, Litmos will also provide an exam timer and a variety of hints and constraints that let trainees know how they’re progressing.
SCORM certification
What is also good to know is that unlike many LMS service providers, Litmos is a SCORM certified system that keeps data safe and secure, and makes it accessible from all devices and locations. This means that you can distribute courses and teach online even when working with large and remote teams of learners.
A closer eye on performance
Another benefit of using Litmos is that it provides invaluable insights that help understand users and evaluate their performance. This data can, later on, be used for real-time, traditional and custom reporting, covering as well as in-depth Drill Down Reports that tackle organization-specific metrics and indicators.
For instance, you can use the system’s pie charts to evaluate user activity or pull out specific course data or compare the performance of your teams and their achievement for different courses. As the supervisor, you can also determine the time range for your report, or schedule status lists for the desired period. All reports and summaries can be displayed as charts or tables, and be easily exported as CSV and PDF files. The system will also store them to your convenience, and make sure no valuable information falls through the cracks.
All necessary integrations
Connectivity may not be your first concern when choosing a corporate LMS, but the importance of solid and streamlined integration becomes visible from the very first moment the arriving system is put into action. Litmos’ development team was well aware of the importance of integrations and ensured their product will be able to import and export data from third-party systems, e-signing tools, and sales and marketing solutions.
No ‘who-where-what’ problems
With Litmos in your toolkit, it will be easy to categorize learners, organize courses and training programs, and assign them to groups, teams, departments, or selected individuals. This makes Litmos an ideal product for small, midmarket, and large corporate environments. Users will also find it easy to schedule, hold, and track live training sessions (LTS), and integrate this system with all of the other business applications they are using.
Show MoreKnowing that businesses have distinct business-related requirements, it is only wise they steer clear of purchasing a one-size-fits-all, “perfect” software product. Having said that, it is futile to try to stumble on such a software system even among recognizable software products. The better step to do is to shortlist the several important functions that need examination including critical features, plans, skill competence of the employees, company size, etc. Thereafter, you should perform your product research comprehensively. Browse over these Litmos reviews and look into the other software systems in your shortlist more closely. Such all-encompassing research ensures you stay away from unsuitable applications and pay for the one which has all the function your company requires.
Position of Litmos in our main categories:
Litmos is one of the top 3 Learning Management Systems (LMS) products
Since each enterprise has particular business wants, it is sensible for them to refrain from seeking a one-size-fits-all ideal software system. Needless to say, it would be futile to try to find such a system even among popular software platforms. The intelligent thing to do would be to jot down the various important factors that require consideration such as key features, finances, skill levels of staff members, company size etc. Then, you should do your research thoroughly. Read some Litmos Learning Management Systems (LMS) reviews and check out each of the other apps in your shortlist in detail. Such in-depth research can ensure you weed out ill-fitting applications and select the app that offers all the features you need for business success.

PROS: I love the fact that Litmos can function as a medium for storing our branded and training docs. This lets all our workers within our company to have that one single location to know where they'll spot training materials and resources. At least they can readily access them anytime.
CONS: There's very little to hate with Litmos. I personally feel it's a fantastic program. I'm not the one doing all the uploads on the work platform. I'm simply a user. Thing is, I've been hearing a ton of rumours of having problems in those areas.

PROS: The never-ending possibilities it's offering while enabling you to be organized and having varying connected accounts. It also comes in different languages. I love the fact that it's simple upload anything whether it's videos (of different formats) to PowerPoint presentations.
CONS: Its reports could use some improvement. I felt as if the ones they have right now are very limited or difficult to make. You can do editing on the report you've made, but you'll need to "create" that report once again. It'd be nice if we're given the freedom to change information on our own.

PROS: I like how our LMS is user-friendly. As a matter of fact, it's so user-friendly that anyone can easily use it and be proficient enough in a short period of time. In our agencies of non-profit network, we can make full use of Litmost to meet our training needs for a wide range of situations.
CONS: There's not much to dislike with this product. The support/help desk has nothing but be responsive. They know how to listen and will addressing any pressing issues you may have. One functionality that I couldn't use is the Learning Path since it won't offer the flexiblity needed in changing a course within the path.

PROS: I like the appearance and UI of Litmos by SAP. It has a ton of reporting functionality. It's also great since it's user-friendly. Our participants find the tool to be useful in all aspects. The tool has done a lot of good things and many find it to be easy and fun to use.
CONS: It seems the discussion boards need a bit of improvement. It appears to be basic and has very limited inteactivity. The admin functionality could use some added versatility for active teams. It would be a plus to give team admins the ability to edit and look into assignments.
An all-around LMS with above-average customer service.

PROS: There are a ton of choices at your disposal if you happen to be a learning professional opting for an LMS. The speciic needs you have wil eventually point to which direction you should be going in. Litmos is the best when it comes down to serving customers, offering support, and engaging customers.
CONS: It would be nice to see further robustness within the tool. By that would mean giving us the ability sell our available courses and managing subscriptions to our customers. Having some kind of a token-based system would be a huge benefit.
It’s easy to fire up, lightweight on PC resources, and highly agile.

PROS: A lot of learners find the tool simple to use. Implementing it was super quick compared to heavy-running enterprise systems. The instructor-led training is easy to install and track. Content is simple to make. You can engage different levels of creating content if you're missing an instructional designer.
CONS: I'm constantly trying to find ways to make integration into current organization tools a little simpler. At the same time, having deeper analytics like question-level reporting.

PROS: One of the very few things that I like with the tool is its user-friendliness. Navigating it is simple once you're using it on the site. Its recent software updates was significantly beneficial to both our users and program. I like the fact that they have a mobile app for users to access our content through their smart devices.
CONS: One problem that I encountered with my team was the mass delition of users who have been considered as inactive and getting them reactive via manual method. It's a tiring processs doing this. I hope the tool will have some way to improve on this in the near future.

PROS: The tool happens to be user-friendly. The instances when I needed the Help section for assistance led me to finding exactly what I was looking for and helped me every step of the way. I like how I can keep a single class active and adding new sessions whenever I'm offering it.
CONS: There are some settings that can be a nuisance. Firstly, whenever I'm making a new class, I'll always need to remember getting myself off notifications. Otherwise, I'll wind up getting an email each time I mark somebody as "completed." In addition, when making a class, not only will I have to remember marking it as "active," I'll also need to choose and include it within the library.
Using this has never been this simple.

PROS: I've done esting a bunch of cloud-based LMS products before settling with Litmos. For me, the tool was the easiest to navigate around in. Even admins and trainees won't have a difficult time dealing with this program. Its appearance and feel is very professional.
CONS: So far, its reporting is the weakest element. While the tool does its job in capturing the needed information, extracting the information into one simple report form can be challenging: it's slow, isn't as intuitive, and certain aspects it can't be reported.
Ahead of the pack in terms of usability and design.

PROS: Its usablity and simpliciy from the point-of-view of the learner makes everything simple. They'll know which courses to go for and what needs to be done. Making courses is very easy. They have several types of module courses. There are a ton of awesome functionalities in automating reminders to help learners get their tasks in time.
CONS: It could use a litle more reporting on sessions spearheaded by the instructor. For instance, in my use case, I need to report on numerous live sessions we're doing. It would often entail some Excel workaround to help meet whatever it is we need.
A fantastic tool for learning.

PROS: What I prefer most with the tool is how flexible and simple it is to come up with a course and uploading it to users in bulk. The user interface is user-friendly and won't require a lot of training in getting the team up to speed. Their account management, sales, and customer support teams have been nothing but helpful.
CONS: Their course management and scheduling needs to improve. I was hoping I could make a course and offer accessibility to teams to that course without pushing them to be administrators and making those courses all over again and linking modules.
It’s a program for storing a lot of essential information.

PROS: I like that it’s flexible and easy to use for creating courses. It’s got an intuitive interface and navigation is clear from user and admin perspective. I’d say the onboarding was smooth. We were properly endorsed by the accounts rep to their support, who was very responsive to our questions. She also walked us through the trickier tools of the LMS like the bulk user upload and automation rules. You feel that their support anticipates your needs, makes you feel taken care of.
CONS: User permission can be enhanced. Right now I need to replicate the course to give someone access to the course without making him an admin. It’d be great if I could give him a learner’s access only to the original course. It would’ve been great if non-admin users can bypass clicking on the course’ ILT just to see the entire schedule.

PROS: The dashboard is neat. I get to see all the important metrics at once like total no. of courses, total no. of users, logins and a historical graph of completion. I think Litmos also has one of the easiest navigation UIs. From the dashboard you can quickly create a course or user, an activity stream who viewed the courses and all the tools on the left panel.
CONS: I find the reporting cumbersome. The quick reports are limited and you’ll be forced to create custom reports to generate the metrics you need. This is where things slow down as you manually select each metric (by user, course, period, active/inactive, etc.) and run report. It’d have been great if there’s a way to set the metrics on setup so you go through this once.
