This is not a drill: you can now grow your Shakira record collection! On Aug. 22, the Colombian superstar announced that four of her most popular albums in vinyl format will be available for pre-order. Her new vinyls include She Wolf (2009), Sale El Sol (2010), Shakira (2014), and El Dorado (2017).
“Excited to announce that starting today you can pre-order Sale el sol 🌞 El Dorado 💛 Shakira 🎸and a re-issue of She Wolf 🐺 on vinyl worldwide!” the Colombian singer wrote online.
She Wolf, previously pressed exclusively with Urban Outfitters, will feature a sea glass swirl design. Popular songs from this album include “She Wolf,” “Loba,” and “Lo Hecho Está Hecho.” Sale El Sol, which features hits like “Addicted to You,” “Rabiosa” featuring El Cata, and “Loca” featuring Dizzee Rascal, will be pressed on hot pink vinyl.
Shakira’s self-titled English album, which features the massive collaboration “Can’t Remember to Forget You” with Rihanna, will be pressed on translucent pink vinyl. El Dorado, which includes popular collaborations like “Chantaje” featuring Maluma, “La Bicicleta” with Carlos Vives, and “Perro Fiel” with Nicky Jam, will be pressed on gold vinyl. Consequently, this marks the first time the latter three albums will be available on vinyl. The price for the vinyl records is $44.98.
This special release is leading up to the Colombian singer’s upcoming Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. Shak is currently rehearsing for one of the year’s most anticipated tours. She recently wrote online: “The countdown to my tour is on, and we’re officially in rehearsals season! 💃 Can’t wait to bring the energy to the stage and see all of you!”
