Door Decor

Here is our door for Easter.
We wanted something happy and cheerful.
The yellow flowers brighten up the door.

We kept it simple.

Celebrating Valentine's Day

Cinnamon rolls were rolled differently.

We held the etiquette dinner the night before because
Sweetheart went on a scouting ski trip on Valentine's Day.

Hurricane had cut up snowflakes for our kitchen window.
We replaced them this week with "stain glass" hearts

It took us a lot of time to cut them out, but Hurricane loves the change.

For Unto Us....

We put up a different type of Christmas tree this year.

Isaiah 9:6 is a favorite because of the Messiah.
Grandma Kirkham loved to decorate for Christmas.
December 1st marked the first day to put up decorations.
She usually gifted to her family a decoration of the December 1st.
So in honor of Grandma Kirkham, this is our December 1st decoration.

Door Decor

When my parents came in May,
our door was decorated with a welcome.

We liked it so much that we left it until just before the pie party.

The wreath base is made from our grapevines.
The bright colorful flowers make such a difference
with browns and sages of the desert.

Welcome....

In December, I had my tonsils out.
The recovery has been long and frustrating.
So we welcomed December and all others with the Three Kings.

My Sweetheart found the star in the attic and put the star up.
I thought it perfect!

First Impression

Our friends gave us a hospitality plate when we married that had the statement "A Thankful Heart." I thought for the month of November it was a perfect statement for our front door. I guess I really just want my Mom to see what was on our door for November.

This is how it all looked. The pumpkins were the ones we used for Halloween that we just turned around for November. We used pumpkin face transfers instead of cutting the pumpkins and were able to use them for one more month.
