W. F. Howes, RBmedia’s UK publishing brand, has acquired the audio rights for the next eight books (Part 22 to Part 29) in RR Haywood’s The Undead series, the UK’s bestselling horror series.

With over four million books sold, and more than 30 Kindle bestsellers to his name and a growing fanbase across the Atlantic, former police officer RR Haywood is one of the UK’s top ten most downloaded indie authors and now a Washington Post bestseller.

The Undead – a terrifying, apocalyptic epic – is a compelling and gritty story driven by strong humour about a deadly zombie epidemic as it spreads around the world, brutally wiping out humanity.

The agreement between RR Haywood and W. F. Howes follows their successful collaboration on the audio edition of his recent novel Fiction Land, which became one of the publisher’s top-ranking titles for 2023.

The titles will be published under the company’s award-winning Quest imprint, and fan favourite Joe Jameson— who has voiced the series for the last ten books has been cast once again as narrator.

The World English language audio rights for the eight titles were acquired directly from the author by W. F. Howes’ Senior Acquisitions Editor, Craig Thomson. He added: “RR Haywood is one of the finest science fiction and horror writers out there at the moment. Following the success of his brilliant Fiction Land audiobook, we couldn’t be happier to have scooped the next eight books in this hugely popular series, and we can’t wait to get Joe in the studio and start recording Part 22, which is due out this summer.”
