[Portuguese below] The intersection between arms industry and the exploitation of gender socially attributed roles and individual insecurities is much deeper than we initially see. If you dive into this just a bit, I am sure you will be surprised! I had the honour to talk about that in this episode moderated by Tessa Cerisier and Dean Peacock of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom - WILPF *so needed* podcast Mobilising Men for Feminist Peace - there are many great episodes 🎧🎤 In this one, we discussed strategies to hold firearms’ industries (and all the economic ecosystem around) accountable regarding their publicity strategies. I shared a bit about Brazilian context and Instituto Sou da Paz work on public regulation and social media platforms, Nicole Hockley and Jonathan Lowy shared more on the USA context regarding their groundbreaking work in Sandy Hook Promise and innovative strategic litigation. With special thanks also to Reem Abbas who facilitated all the process. Boa escuta!
