Giuliano begins to suspect Camilla's addiction when he notices money missing and her strange behaviors. Despite his efforts to help her detox, Camilla refuses any assistance, even pretending to have detoxed after an overdose. Riccardo, a mutual friend and former addict, advises Giuliano to leave Camilla for his own good. Heartbroken, Giuliano follows the advice and distances himself, feeling unable to provide the necessary support. A year later, Giuliano has rebuilt his life and started a relationship with Matilde. However, the past returns when Camilla reappears desperate, asking for money. Determined not to help her anymore, Giuliano rejects her. Camilla finds money elsewhere, but her addiction leads to a fatal overdose. Camilla's death plunges Giuliano into a state of deep guilt, endangering his relationship with Matilde. Thanks to Riccardo's wise words, Giuliano realizes he is not responsible for the tragedy. This awareness allows him to resolve issues with Matilde and find some inner peace.
