The light, which accentuates the ocher of the stones and the Grey of the slate roofs, is full of contrasts. This fabulous playground is particularly popular with extreme sports enthusiasts and lovers of wild beauty. But outside the summer months, why stay here, and why and how should you live here? Fifteen women aged between 11 and 95 tell us all about it. Some were born here, others moved here. What have their lives been like? What kind of lives can be reinvented in such a remote rural setting? Living here, why, how, what meaning can be given to this chosen or imposed life?
