Daniel and Kelly’s Extraordinary Universe

By far my favorite podcast, they dive deep into extremely complex ideas and top it off with dad jokes. It’s sad the original show has come to an end but Kelly is rad.

I hope the new format can put some new life into this podcast. The first few years were funny, genuinely quizzical and informative, and got into some real mysteries about the universe. Last couple of years it seems the answers get shallower and more repetitive, avoiding issues that required reviewing research. The only one truly committed to twice weekly episodes is Daniel - who increasingly also benefits from reading up ads about stuff. Why wasn’t Jorge in the good bye episode? Please more substance and less fluff and I’ll keep listening 🙏

I listen to it to help me sleep. It’s still interesting though.

I really enjoy the podcast. Daniel is a great science communicator but many times it takes a good 15 minutes or so to get the ball rolling and actually start the podcast. I like the bad puns and dad jokes but Jorge tends to overdo it sometimes and it can break the flow. His questions can also be a bit repetitive and mundane. But it is still a great podcast. I really like the shows when Katie guest hosts. She is very articulate and adds a lot to Daniel’s explanations with intelligent questions. We need a Daniel and Katie Explain the Universe podcast too.
