Amherst County High School is sponsoring a 2nd annual community service opportunity for our students on April 12, 2019. We are calling this event “A Day of Giving” in which the school and our students can give back to the community. Students will be given the opportunity to volunteer at various community organizations, Amherst County Parks and Recreation sites, the county elementary schools, and at the high school. Students will be chaperoned by ACPS faculty and staff. Transportation to and from the service locations will be provided by the ACPS transportation department. The school will follow normal arrival and departure times. Students will be transported to their service sites between 9:00 and 9:30 AM and will return to the high school between 2:00 and 2:30 PM.

Amherst County High School presents “Disney’s The Little Mermaid” This story follows Ariel as she pursues her dream to become part of the human world despite her father’s warning about it’s many dangers. “Disney’s The Little Mermaid” is fun for all ages and is a story of adventure, love, and friendship. The musical will take place April 11th, 12th, and 13th at 7pm. There will also be a Sunday matinee on April 14th at 2pm. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at www.amherstmusical.com or one hour before the show each day.
