It was easier using my extremely old printer.... This app changes what you have to do every time. I don't know why I can't just print from my phone like I used to. Now I have to go into the app to find the picture or document (which is not easy) to MAYBE be able to print. Also, now it's printing 8x10 documents as 2"x3". I totally regret buying this printer and I think the app is awful.

My 5 year old Canon Pixma 5300 series printer was not in use for over a year. I was able to restart it easily. I synced it up to both my new phone and older computer wirelessly with shockingly small amounts of difficulty. I'm not terribly tech savvy, so was pleasantly surprised that it just warmed up in no time and works like a champ printing beautifully from either device with only about a minutes warm up. I'm just in love with this printer because it's so reliable and easy to navigate.

Absolutely nightmare experience trying to set this up wirelessly and it's still not working or connecting properly. It just simply won't work no matter what. My phone is literally sitting next to this junk printer and the app still fails to connect each time. I will never buy another Canon product in my life.
