Bloated with ads. I really used to enjoy this app. It was a quick and easy way to catch up on the news headlines and find stories I would follow up on more closely. Now. In order to find a short news blurb you have to scroll past ads that are longer than the stories. I get they want to make money. But the product is not worth the persistent barrage of ads. Update. I went back and opened a story. At the top there's an ad for land in Iowa. At the bottom there is an ad for Amazon. Many more!

We're perplexed. There shouldn't be ads at the top and bottom of the story pages and more in between. You could try reinstalling the app? Or contact us at feedback[at]newser.com and we'll get it figured out

Too bad about the low number! It's my daily go-to news aggregator. Love the layout, easy to navigate. Original and well-linked content. The ads load in their own space and don't move the text around like most web pages do. Pop ups are rare and easily closed. I hope they make a go of it because I really don't want to go back to what I was using before...

Update 5/2/2022: please add the ability to change a vote. Sometimes one's finger simply hits the wrong option. And today I really hated my mistake when I wanted "brilliant" but got "depressing." Thanks!! Update 2/1/2021: I previously gave an honest and detailed review, and they listened! As they responded, my earlier issues seem to have been vastly improved, so I'm back! Thank you Newser! But beware: if it deteriorates I'll update again! 😉

Hi Susan! We have since lightened/improved the ad experience and fixed that frustrating issue related to not returning to the same place. Hope you'll take another look.
