the game is phenomenal! i love the different synergies and builds you can play around with. i also think the customization of the players is great. my grief with this game is that it feels as though sometimes to make through the 20 minutes, is to watch an ad. the second and last boss waves are totally unfair without some additional power to sweep out the smaller mobs to get to the real threat. it could just be my skill when it comes to it though, hopefully im not the only one who thinks so.

Was great, now only ok with ad fills and inapp purchases for stuff that was previously acquireable with in-game work. Additionally, if you had previously cleared the game before the in-app purchases/ads update your save with the characters, guns, achievements, and skins were reset to zero so you get the joy of purchasing them instead of earning them.

Great game overall. The retro feel is great and it doesn't lag like many similar games. I don't understand why it's not auto-fire and there are control glitches because of that. Targeting often stops shifting targets and requires you release the button. The change in movement speed when shooting vs reloading is jarring and adds nothing except frustration. On early levels this is annoying, but I suspect it's going to be gamebreaking as I advance to more challenging levels.
