Not sure if this can even be changed, but on my old phone the stars showed up as yellow. On my new phone (Pixel 8a), they are just showing up as gray. I do not notice the messages at all with gray stars, so it's almost pointless to use them. It would be lovely if the multiple color options available to use if logged in on a computer were also in the app, but I at least want some color back for my stars.

As other people have been saying, it's getting stuck in a perpetual loop of trying to sync (It's been doing that for 19+ hours now.) I can't send emails, I can't receive emails, and the only way I do get the notification for them is when I restart my phone (then I'm immediately swamped with 20+ emails at once.) I've tried everything I can on my end to fix it.

Unlike a normal email, gmail doesn't just let you empty your inbox in a few clicks. They want you to pay for storage, so they make it very obtuse that way, which is a problem because there's not much storage with it being linked to Google one drive and all of that. It's also annoying that they keep EMAILING me that my gmail is almost out of storage every 2 seconds and constantly asking me to upgrade. At this point I'm just going to let it get full and go back to using my 12+ year old Hotmail.
