The 24/7 facility is represented by 180 phenomenal colleagues and its dedicated general manager, Nathan Bowen-Price! The team works together on the site's two operational lines which produces over 195 million liters of product per year😮 🗣 When highlighting his proudest moments of the plant, Nathan describes the "culture shift and or colleagues' ability to raise a smile no matter the situation. Together, we have moved our OEE forward whilst delivering on our aim of driving our Great Place to Work scores up with positive communication, tiered meetings, coffee mornings, along with our monthly quiz." Refresco Germany announced to acquire a production site in Grüneberg, Brandenburg from Vivaris, a subsidiary of Berentzen Group. In addition to the site, Refresco Germany will also take over the water brands 'Märkisch Kristall' and 'Grüneberg Quelle.' Exciting ESG developments from Refresco Benelux!🚛🍃 Earlier this summer, we have made an agreement with a local Dutch retailer to refuel our transport of their PET bottles from our site in Hoensbroek (south of the Netherlands) with only HVO100 - otherwise known as 'Fryer Diesel' 👉 HVO100, or Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil, is an alternative diesel fuel made from waste products like frying fat, vegetable oil, and residual waste. Using HVO100 is 90% less polluting than standard diesel, and this year alone we expect to reduce more than 400 tons of CO2 emissions! 💨 This is one of the many changes we are making to reduce our impact on the planet. 🌍 #ourdrinksoneverytable #ESG #co2reduction #alternativefuel

Meet Jörg! 🤝 A longtime Refresco employee for nearly 15 years, Jörg is responsible for the operational process within production at our Trappenkamp location for Refresco Germany. As he says: "The machines have to run." "Easy to say, but not always easy to do," he adds. A multifaceted role that also involves energy management of the plant and training apprentices, Jörg finds that his favorite thing about the job is the work with his colleagues. He emphasizes "the variety of work and the challenges that come with it which you have to face everyday - tackling problems together and finding solutions." ❓ Tuesday Trivia: What was the first soft drink we ever produced?   Answer: A little carbonated concoction called "Liko" - abbreviated from Limonade Kombinatie ("Lemonade Combination") and owned by the former company Fruxano. 🧃   This came after our ancestor company, Menken Melk, entered the soft drinks market in 1963 via a collaboration with Den Hanze Melkinrichting - which we took over two years later.   🏭 By 1970, our operations grew so large that we built a brand-new factory in Bodegraven under the trademark of Liko Frisdranken B.V.
