Streamline image uploads in Drupal with CKEditor’s Drag-and-Drop feature ⬇
Did you know you can 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗴-𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗽 images directly into CKEditor? CKEditor in Drupal offers a convenient way to add images to your content. The drag-and-drop feature streamlines the process, allowing you to quickly upload images directly from your desktop. After uploading an image, you can: ➜ Align the image ➜ Add alternative text for accessibility ➜ Adjust other image settings within the editor All images uploaded directly to CKEditor become "managed files" in Drupal. You can view these images by navigating to Content > Files. Clicking on "Used in" shows you which pages use each image. To configure the CKEditor image plugin settings: 1️⃣ Edit your text format 2️⃣ Scroll down to the CKEditor plugin settings 3️⃣ Adjust the following options: ➜ ➜ Enable or disable image uploads ➜ ➜ Set the upload directory ➜ ➜ Define maximum file size ➜ ➜ Specify maximum dimensions 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀: - Simplified image upload process - Enhanced accessibility through alternative text - Improved image management within Drupal - Configurable settings for better control For extensive image use, consider installing the Media and Media Library modules.
