  • Registrations are now open for the last Meta-Analysis Workshop of 2024! Dates & timings: 18, 19 & 20 October 2024 from 4 pm to 11 pm all three days. This unique workshop includes hands-on session where participants practice statistical techniques on their laptops, and each student is given personalized attention to ensure that they master the skill. Due to the high interest in international publications, groups will be created after the workshop. Each group will be supervised by mentors till publication of the meta-analysis. Dr. Shahzeb will be personally selecting students from this workshop for collaboration with well-renowned international authors and institutes. Due to the highly individualized nature of this workshop, batches will be kept small and seats are limited. This workshop will be held on Zoom. Please note: Only those who have taken RCOP Level 1 are eligible to enroll in the meta-analysis workshop. Registration cost: PKR 15,000. Seats are reserved on a first come first serve basis.   • We’re thrilled to announce the publication of our brilliant CDC Workshop mentees Amna Siddiqui, Ghulam Mustafa Ali Malik, AREEBA FAROOQUI, Zuha Rasul, Faba Hanif, Bisma Mansoor, Fatima Mansoor, Muhammad Bilal Abbasi, Khizar Rehan, Rashima Azam, Aaliyan Wajid, and Atida Awan—a collaboration of mentees from 10 renowned medical colleges across 5 cities in Pakistan, under the expert guidance of Dr. Kaneez Fatima and Dr. Ishaque Hameed. Their article, published in The American Journal of Medicine (Impact Factor: 5.1), one of the leading journals in the field, highlights HIV-related mortality trends seen over two decades in young adults.   • Congratulations to RCOP mentees Kashaf Noor Asmat, Muhammad Salman Nadeem, Ayesha Maryam and Ayesha Fatima on their new publication titled “Unravelling the Potential of Serum Secretoneurin: a Prognostic Biomarker for Intracerebral Haemorrhage” in Neurosurgical Review (IF=2.5). Their article explores the value of Secretoneurin as a possible biomarker that can effectively detect for the presence of an intracerebral haemorrhage, pushing the boundaries of neurosurgical care. This is yet another high impact publication by Dr. Shahzeb Khan, Dr. Tariq Jamal Siddiqui and Dr. Muhammad Shariq Usman in collaboration with leading international authors in the field. Titled “Effects of Sodium-Glucose Cotransporter-2 Inhibitors on Kidney Outcomes across Baseline Cardiovascular-Kidney-Metabolic Conditions: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses”, the paper discusses SGLT2 inhibitors, which have vastly transformed the landscape of cardiovascular medicine.   • The last CDC Wonder Workshop of 2024! To be held on Oct 4, 5 and 6. The timings will be 4PM to 10PM (Pakistan time) on all 3 days. This workshop is novel in Pakistan and has been designed by international big data experts through Dr Shahzeb’s collaboration. It is a completely new form of research that even the best doctors in the world are new to. Which means it will be a unique paper on your CV and will automatically qualify for the kind of paper that attracts big journals and authors. All students will be added to groups after the workshop and mentors will guide them until PUBLICATION. The CDC Wonder database contains mortality data for millions of people, since 1999. In this workshop you will learn how to access and analyze this original US data.
