Jazz, in partnership with the Capital Development Authority (CDA), has kicked off a large-scale tree plantation drive in Islamabad under its nationwide Carbon Sink project. This initiative will see over 33,700 trees—including Kachnar, Arjun, and Plum—planted at various locations like the Margalla Hills, green belts, and Jazz Garden, enhancing the green landscape of the federal capital. The effort is expected to offset over 1,200 tonnes of carbon annually, significantly reducing greenhouse gases. With previous plantation drives in Islamabad and Peshawar, Jazz continues its commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and supporting global climate goals. #JazzMeriSuperPower

Just this past month, the Lahore Chapter of UN Women x Jazz Digital & Financial Literacy Trainings concluded. This chapter has targeted approximately 1500 female entrepreneurs and artisans across the Lahore regions of Kasur, Raiwind, Amar Sidhu, Thokar, and Jallo, focusing on leveraging digital tools and technology to enhance business scalability. This Jazz initiative not only seeks to bridge the gender gap in digital and financial literacy but also aims to create a lasting impact on the local economy by nurturing a new generation of tech-savvy, financially literate female entrepreneurs. This collaboration represents a significant step towards addressing systemic in equalities that have historically marginalized women in business. By breaking down these barriers, we are building a more inclusive society where women have the resources and support, they need to succeed, thus fostering true economic empowerment. Participants were introduced to a range of Jazz Tools, including Tamasha, Parho, HerHealth, JazzCash, and MMBL Dost App, which are vital for fostering digital and financial empowerment. Through this training, women learned how to establish and maintain a strong online presence, utilize social media for business growth, and implement secure online transactions. These skills will enable them to navigate the digital economy confidently and expand their market reach. The training was led by master trainers Rabia Khattak and Fatima Shuja along with other trainers from Jazz and JazzCash.
