Everyone is creative. Everyone is welcome.

About us

Every month, 1500 volunteers in 65 countries host a free monthly breakfast speaker series for their local creative community. This happens in over 200 cities to an audience of 20,000 attendees. We're lucky to have you. In 2008, Tina Roth Eisenberg (Swissmiss) started CreativeMornings out of a desire for an ongoing, accessible event for New York’s creative community. The concept was simple: breakfast and a short talk one Friday morning a month. Every event would be free of charge and open to anyone. Today, attendees gather in cities around the world to enjoy fresh coffee, friendly people, and an international array of breakfast foods. Volunteer hosts and their team members organize local chapters that not only celebrate a city’s creative talent, but also promote an open space to connect with like-minded individuals. The growing archive of past breakfast talks is humbling. From design legends to hometown heroes, speakers are selected by each chapter based on a global theme. CreativeMornings remains free thanks to the support of local sponsors, generous venues, and longterm partners. Anyone can attend. Just register beforehand to reserve your spot. And if you need a little help convincing your boss to let you attend, we’ve got you covered. Remember to set your alarm, and we’ll see you in the morning! ------- OUR MANIFESTO Everyone is creative. A creative life requires bravery and action, honesty and hard work. We are here to support you, celebrate with you, and encourage you to make the things you love. We believe in the power of community. We believe in giving a damn. We believe in face-to-face connections, in learning from others, in hugs and high-fives. We bring together people who are driven by passion and purpose, confident that they will inspire one another, and inspire change in neighborhoods and cities around the world. Everyone is welcome.

brewing creativity, one workshop at a time! ☕ Hailing from a creative background myself, it's always a joy to connect and bring together a room full of creatives, freelancers, and designers—all eager to learn and build something. Traveling from Lahore to Islamabad to facilitate the "Brew it with Notion - Creative Portfolio Workshop" ended up being worth it! ✈️ The 1-hour workshop was a deep-dive into how to launch a fully customized website right from within Notion without any additional tools or complex coding. Starting with the basics, and moving onto advanced topics, I emphasized layout formatting, and helped participants grasp the often tricky concept of databases to organize their portfolio better (I may have snuck in too many memes in the slides though 😂). We also explored how to publish these sites, set custom domains, and create seamless navigation bars. To wrap things up, we had a nice lil Scavenger Hunt. By the end of the workshop, most participants had one or two sections of their websites ready to build up upon with their projects. 💻 A special shoutout to my team at Notion Islamabad, especially Hassaan Nadeem and Mashal Ashfaque who were the backbone of this event (the Notion-themed cupcakes 🤩🧁 were a delight). And ofcourse, Arooj Anwar and the CreativeMornings - Islamabad team, whose coordination and attention to detail made this event feel like a true creative collaboration. 🐻❄️🩷 Islamabad community continues to impress. Here’s to more events and workshops. Next stop - Karachi?! 🤔💫 P.S: You can find resources related to the workshop, including a free template on my website: https://lnkd.in/dpxUmtfK

  • Rituals and folktales are deeply connected, with folktales often explaining the origins and meanings behind rituals. This connection turns rituals into expressions of shared history and values, ensuring that cultural traditions remain vibrant and meaningful across generations. This month's speaker is a brilliant talent we've had the pleasure of finding. Komal Salman is the founder of Folkloristan, which she founded in November 2021, with the aim of documenting and digitising Pakistani folklore. Whilst she has documented, translated and retold several stories for Folkloristan, Her debut publication is set to release in 2025 with Crossed Crow Books. Folkloristan is currently partnering with the Pitt Rivers Museum at the University of Oxford to reconnect objects in their collection to local folklore, in a series “The Folklore of Resistance”. In 2023, Folkloristan displayed Pakistani folklore in 100 artworks at the Centre of Folklore, Myth and Magic in the UK. Earlier this year, in April 2024, Folkloristan took over the Lahore Heritage Club for a week. The itinerary included “Hazaaron Saal Pehle” a four-day art exhibition, two days of Dastaangoi, and two art workshops. Register for Komal's session on 31st August at 10am.  https://lnkd.in/d2P7gVfJ #CreativeMornings #CMISB

  • Rituals add meaning and a deeper sense of connection to our lives. They allow us to practice mindfulness and reflection. Unlike our daily routine and habits, rituals have the power to inspire us. Brushing your teeth is routine. Going for a morning walk would be a good habit. And writing a gratitude journal could become your morning ritual. The key is to act with intentionality. Our CreativeMornings events have their own rituals. Getting a cup of coffee creates an opportunity to say hello to someone new while you wait your turn in line. Reading our manifesto out loud reinforces our beliefs that everyone is creative and everyone is welcome. What rituals do you practice in your relationships, your spirituality, and your creative work? How do they heighten your sense of purpose and belonging in this world? ----- Our theme for August is RITUAL. It was chosen by our Charlottesville chapter in Virginia and illustrated by Matt Smithson.
