Preceptor Information
UCSF School of Pharmacy preceptors, as well as volunteer faculty, offer students individual perspectives and hands-on experience in a variety of health care settings and specialties.
Preceptors directly supervise and guide doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) students during their IPPEs and APPEs.
Preceptor Resources
The School is committed to providing valuable preceptor development resources. UCSF offers Continuing Education (CE) resources to support preceptors' work as a teacher, and mentor for PharmD students.
Program directors are also available to make site visits to give specific preceptor development presentations and trainings. Reach out to your area's program director if you are interested.
Without Salary Faculty (WOS) appointments also offer additional resources. See the WOS Faculty Appointment Criteria page for more information.
