Open, Needs TriagePublicBUG REPORT

Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Edit an article with VE and have Edit Check enabled
  • Trigger the "edit check" to display the first popup window that asks if a user wants to add citations
  • Click on any of the answers

What happens?:
The second window pops up, but the transition between the two popups glitches and looks very ugly, at least on my computer. It seems that there are some problems with destroying the first window and creating the second one.

Example:

What should have happened instead?:
Smooth transition, no glitches

Software version (on Special:Version page; skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):

Other information (browser name/version, screenshots, etc.): Win11, Firefox 129.0

Video recorded on plwiki, where the feature isn't enabled by default (used &ecenable=1 to test the feature), but on other wikis that have it enabled, it looks the same.

Using FF 130/chromium 128, incognito mode, on Ubuntu 22.04, I don't reproduce it at French WIkipedia, but I see a small glitch between the Yes/No step and the Citoid popup at Polish WIkipedia.

I checked again if I can still reproduce it and I can. I tested it on Windows 11, on Firefox 130 (private mode, turned all extensions off), Microsoft Edge 129 and Chrome 129. In all three cases these glitches appeared, on pl.wikipedia, fr.wikipedia and tr.wikipedia.
