Gardenia expands Plastic Collection Drive in local communities As part of the company’s Going Green Initiatives, Gardenia launched its Plastic Collection Drive in 2023 with the aim of recycling single-use plastics and turning them into school chairs to be donated to schools in need. This year, Gardenia expanded the campaign through a partnership with DILG IV-A and DILG-Laguna, extending the Plastic Collection Drive to 16 barangays in San Pablo City and 10 barangays in Calamba City. As of September 2024, participating barangays were able to collect more than half a ton of post-consumption plastics, which will be transformed into classroom chairs. Furthermore, Gardenia collaborated with Bombo Radyo and Star FM for the ‘Swerte sa Palengke’ raffle promotion, wherein consumers participated in the Plastic Collection Drive by submitting clean Gardenia packaging as proof of purchase for a chance to win exciting prizes. Drop-off points were located nationwide including Bombo Radyo stations in La Union, Baguio, Legazpi, Cebu, Iloilo, Tacloban, Davao and Zamboanga. These initiatives highlight the importance of collective action in addressing environmental challenges; and through its Plastic Collection Drive, Gardenia remains committed to making a positive impact on both the environment and the lives of Filipinos, fostering a more sustainable future for all. #AlwaysGardenia #EmbracingSustainability #GoingGreen

Through the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Food Donation Program, Gardenia Philippines donated bread loaves to families in Batangas, Caloocan, Cavite, Laguna, Manila, Marikina, Malabon, Parañaque, Pasay, Quezon City, Valenzuela, and Pampanga, providing immediate food assistance to communities affected by the recent Typhoon Carina.
