ACEN, Temasek's GenZero, and Keppel Ltd. are partnering to pioneer the use of carbon credits to finance the early retirement and energy transformation of a coal-fired power plant in Batangas by 2030. When completed, this project is expected to be one of the first converted coal-fired power plants to generate transition credits. “Partnership is an integral part of Ayala’s strategy and culture. Cross-border collaboration for a just energy transition in Southeast Asia. 🇵🇭🤝🇸🇬 ACEN, together with Temasek's GenZero and Keppel Ltd., signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to explore the use of Transition Credits to accelerate the early retirement of the 246 MW SLTEC coal-fired power plant in Batangas and replace it with an Integrated Renewables and Energy Storage System (IRESS). Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment of Singapore and Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga, Secretary for the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Philippines, witnessed the signing of the MOU by Cindy Lim, Keppel Infrastructure Division CEO, Frederick Teo, GenZero CEO, Cezar Consing, ACEN Chairman, and Eric Francia, ACEN CEO. Emmanuel Bautista (Ret.), has been elected president of HERO Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that provides supplemental financial support for the orphans of fallen soldiers. Gen. Bautista, who previously served as Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, joined Ayala Corporation in 2021. In Ayala, he helps promote #SaludoSaSerbisyo, the group's flagship program for uniformed personnel. Ayala onboards BJMP to #SaludoSaSerbisyo Ayala and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which seeks to provide BJMP personnel exclusive access to Ayala group products and services. Saludo offers home and car ownership assistance, financial education and livelihood training, health and wellness caravans, and product discounts, among many other benefits. Aside from the BJMP, Ayala has also previously signed MOUs with the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Philippine National Police, the Philippine Coast Guard, and the Bureau of Fire Protection. "Our partnership with the uniformed service is a testament to our collective responsibility to empower and uplift our communities. Interns from the Ayala Group Summer Internship Program (AGSIP) gathered for an enlightening TED Talk-inspired event focused on the importance of human skills in an age of automation, AI, and robotics. While automation and AI enhance efficiency, certain human skills remain irreplaceable. With this, three keynote speakers from across the Ayala Group shared their wisdom to the young minds who will soon be entering the workforce. Tony Lambino, President of Ayala Foundation, Inc., shared insights into the power of imagination and how it allows us to envision possibilities beyond the current reality. Carissa Feria, Head of Strategy and Transformation at Ayala Land, Inc., highlighted the importance of curiosity--a crucial component of fostering empathy, innovation, and improvement. Meanwhile, Paolo F. Borromeo, President and CEO of Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (AC Health), spoke about emotional intelligence, which can be learned through understanding yourself and others, and embracing each individual's unique qualities. The event was opened by Isabel Sagun, Ayala Land, Inc.'s Chief HR Officer, who welcomed the interns and partners from the different Ayala BUs. AGSIP is an 8-week internship program that deploys interns to 20 different companies across the Ayala group. Each AGSIP intern will be deployed in critical functional units and will experience real-world missions, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and exposure to various aspects of the organization.

Ayala Corporation and Ayala Land, Inc. have been named by Financial Times and data provider Statista as among the climate leaders in Asia-Pacific in their 2024 rankings. AC and ALI are among the only three Philippine companies that made the list. In 2021, Ayala committed to achieving net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emission by 2050. Since then, Ayala has progressed along its climate ambition by developing a comprehensive GHG footprint that is consistent with the GHG Protocol to set the foundation for setting its science-based targets and develop its Net Zero Roadmap in full.
