What an incredible experience! ✨ We had the pleasure of connecting with Martin Gschwind, an entomologist from Switzerland 🇨🇭, during the vibrant Bilum Festival! 🎉 His last-minute visit led to fascinating conversations about cultural similarities between our countries. 🌍 We discovered shared traditions, like intermarriage within extended families in close-knit villages. 👨👩👧👦 It was eye-opening to learn that even seemingly distant cultures have common ground. 🤝 Martin was captivated by the Bilum Festival and our warm Marup family. He embraced the full PNG experience, from crowded truck rides to leisurely walks. 🛻🚶♀️His adventurous spirit and genuine interest in our culture were truly inspiring. 🙏 So grateful to have hosted Martin and our other international guests - Frank, Tim, Mack, Rose. Delighted to have hosted Martin Gschwind, our fourth international guest this year! 🇨🇭 Martin, visiting from Switzerland, made a last-minute decision to join us at the Bilum Festival in Karkar Island. Huge shoutout to Robyn Saluap for bringing him along. ✨ Martin's last-minute decision to join us turned into a first epic evening of laughter, stories, good vibes and good music 🎶.
