Jennifer Lopez ended last season in a (fairly modest) black gown. So to kick off the final season she made sure to amp up the glitz and sexiness in a bra and briefs-exposing Zuhair Murad Couture gown to really go out with a bang.

If her multicolor Naeem Khan onesie wasn't bold enough on its own, her blue eyeshadow, slicked back strands and extremely oversize hoop earrings would ensure she stayed in the spotlight.

Her Fausto Puglisi mini dress is delightful on her own, but her Instagram caption really makes the look memorable, thanks to her Mean Girls paraphase: “On Thursdays we wear pink.”

For the season 14 finale, we were expecting to bring her most skin-baring, curve-hugging look yet (which she did during her performance). But for the actual show, she surprisingly went a bit more modest in a long-sleeve floor-skimming Zuhair Murad gown, featuring see-through lace panels that exposed her briefs.

For the second-to-last episode of the season, went with a long-sleeve high-collar Zuhair Murad Haute Couture jumpsuit, which featured signature J.Lo details: major cutout cleavage, a sexy open back and a sparkly jewel-encrusted overlay.

Sporting "the J.Lo" (remember, we named the long-sleeve mini after her), she styled her nude House of CB design with massive Lana Jewelry diamond hoops (another J.Lo signature) and a half-up topknot (we think she got the inspiration from the Met Gala’s hottest hair trend).

Anyone else think thought it was “wear your pajamas to work day” when they spotted this Emanuel Ungaro floral-print two-piece and super high messy pony? She upped the glam factor of her cozy floral look quite a bit with stud earrings, a crystal-adorned collar and sexy see-through Jimmy Choo pumps.

We didn’t even notice the major cleavage on Blumarine maxi gown because of how much J.Lo is serving up that skirt. Here she is (twirling and preparing for take off) . (She even got a dramatic wave in while walking with Ryan Seacrest in his video diary this week!)

The only thing Jennifer loves more than a long-sleeved, super-short mini (which we’ll just refer to as "the J.Lo" from now on – this particular one is Nicolas Jebran) are megawatt diamonds. And she was so enamored with her rings last night, that she posted an Instagram right from the judges table to thank her favorite jewelry brand.

COLD SHOULDER

Jennifer toned down the summery vibes (and increased the top knot height) from last week’s look in a black below-the-knee, long sleeve David Koma dress. The off the shoulder design and metallic detailing though, brought the otherwise demure look right back to sexy J.Lo territory.

SUMMER LOVIN'

One reason to covet Jennifer’s springy look (besides the fact that it’s warm enough in L.A. for her to wear it): It’s all affordable! She paired a shirt and shorts from her Kohl’s line (both $48) with jewelry from her own Endless line and Giuseppe Zanotti heels. “I wanted to celebrate springtime!” she tells PEOPLE, adding that picking an outfit was easy because her collection is all about “getting an amazing style and fit for an amazing price” for pieces that she would wear herself. “I don’t want it to be disconnected in that way,” she says. “I love the stuff that we make for Kohl’s. I’m the type of person who will shop at all kinds of stores: high-end stores because I have that luxury, but I also love a bargain.”

BEIGE WAY

It was ’80s night at Idol, but Lopez kept it totally sexy (and mullet-free) in a pale-brown House of CB form-fitting leather dress with translucent Christian Louboutin pumps, gold bangles and a matching nude lip.

You have to be a skin-showing expert like Lopez to rock a revealing romper (this one is by Elie Saab). The key to balancing a plunging neckline with a super-short hem? Make sure you’re covered up somewhere. In this case, she’s got sleeves!

AMAZING TECHINCOLOR DREAM DRESS

For her second look of the night, Lopez took to the stage to perform “Feel the Light” in a dress that can barely fit in one photo because it spanned a 20-ft. radius! Lights and special effects were projected onto the train of the dress, which the designer – and Lopez’s stylist – Mariel Haenn tells PEOPLE was inspired by “an old vintage reference.”

HAWAIIAN TROPICS

The judge celebrated the season’s finalists in a gold-spangled floral Marchesa Notte dress with matching tan Casadei pumps and a gold-and-white clutch. She even adds some bling to her beauty look with frosty blue eyeshadow.

We’re beginning to wonder if the dress code for Season 14 is simply to show as much leg as possible! To announce the Top 12 contestants, she chose a bright, scalloped-edge Valentino lace tunic with jeweled pumps.

We may not think to wear multiple statement pieces (ahem: major hoop earrings, a shimmery top, zip-up skirt and knee-high metallic gladiators) to an American Idol red carpet event (or really, anywhere), but then again, that’s why there’s only one J.Lo.
