Kate Middleton Just Revealed Princess Charlotte's Nickname — and It's Adorable!

The royal mom also met a little boy who shares a name with her son, Prince George

The royals are no strangers to nicknames (Prince Harry‘s real name is Henry and Kate Middleton‘s full name is Catherine), so it’s no surprise that Princess Charlotte has a sweet moniker at home.

Belfast-based blogger Laura-Ann brought her 2-year-old son George to Windsor Park Stadium on Wednesday hoping to catch a glimpse of Kate and Prince William during their two-day visit to Northern Ireland. Not only did Laura-Ann get to have a chat with the royal mom, but she also learned what Kate calls Charlotte.

Laura-Ann recounted her interaction on her Instagram stories, sharing footage of Kate meeting her little boy, who shares a name with the royal’s son, Prince George, 5.

“Hello – what’s your name?” Kate asks. “Hi George, what a cool name you’ve got, and you look very smart in your bow tie. It’s very nice to meet you.”

Although the video cut out, Laura-Ann explained that Kate asked how old her other son is – and then unexpectedly dropped 3-year-old Charlotte’s cute nickname.

“And I said is he is 4 and she said, ‘Oh, he’s the same age as Lottie’ – she calls her Lottie!” Laura-Ann excitedly tells the camera.

Kate has more than one sweet nickname for her daughter. During a last-minute Christmas shopping trip to the U.K. discount store, The Range, in Norfolk’s King’s Lynn with her two eldest kids, the royal was overheard calling Charlotte by another cute moniker.

Kate was spotted saying, “Get up, Poppet,” to Charlotte as she sat on the floor near George, according to an onlooker.

While she has three small children at home, Kate hinted that she’s feeling “broody” about having more.

During a walkabout in Northern Ireland on Thursday, she saw a 5-month-old baby and told the child’s father, “He’s gorgeous. It makes me feel broody.”

When the father boldly asked Kate if a fourth baby was a possibility, Kate replied with a laugh: “I think William would be a little worried.”
