Kate Hudson Puts on Her Dancing Shoes for New 'Talk About Love' Music Video

Kate Hudson is ready to "Talk About Love!"

In her new single's highly anticipated music video, the actress put on her dancing shoes to celebrate the highs and lows of love.

The video begins with Hudson walking through the streets of Los Angeles as she stares at strangers passing her by. After bumping into a man in a brown suit, the two stare into each other's eyes, making everything stand still.

After he walks away, Hudson chases after him, and the two begin dancing underneath the moonlight. The man later joins Hudson for another dance at a club she's singing at.

Near the end of the video, viewers are brought back to the moment they first meet and see Hudson immediately striking up a conversation.

Director Kimberly Stuckwisch said in a press release statement that the purpose of the music video was to examine "the 'what ifs' we experience during fleeting moments of a chance encounter."

"Thematically, the video revolves around finding joy and love right in front of you rather than constantly chasing after it. It was important to Kate and me that the video remain true to the lyrics by visually representing the powerful message of living in the moment and savoring the present, a timely reminder in today's fast-paced world," her statement read.

The track is something Hudson describes as "delicious and sexy and all the things that I believe in."

"I wanted it to be open and seeking, searching to find something powerful," explained Hudson in a press release. "But I also wanted the music to be the rock, the pop, the dance music and even a bit of the alternative records I love. It was a lot to put into one song, but thankfully, I had some wonderful people working with me. And so, here we are!"

While Hudson has not officially announced a release date for her upcoming debut album, she told PEOPLE in February that prepping for it has been a "cathartic" process.

"It's really fun. I'm really enjoying it. The writing process was the most important and cathartic for me. I wrote the songs, so they're very personal, and each one is a different kind of expression of myself. Every [song] will feel different, but obviously, I think, very authentic to me," she told PEOPLE.
