En route to the "isolated equatorial environment" where the dinosaurs live, Zora's "operation intersects with a civilian family whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic dinos, they all find themselves stranded on an island where they come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery that’s been hidden from the world for decades." In a surprise video message played during Johansson’s appearance on the Today show in July 2024, Goldblum welcomed the award-winning actress to the franchise. “Doctor Johansson, this is Jeff Goldblum,” he said in a video message. “Here’s what I want to say to you. This I know: Scarlett will find a way. Don’t get eaten, unless you want to.” At the end of the clip, Goldblum gives a playful, “I love you. Mwah!"
