Christina Hall's Husband Josh Breaks Silence After Filing for Divorce from HGTV Star

Josh Hall has broken his social media silence after filing for divorce from HGTV star Christina Hall.

The formerly Austin-based real estate professional posted a photo of himself going for a walk in the woods on Wednesday afternoon. His only caption was a praying hands emoji. Josh wore a Lululemon t-shirt, backwards baseball cap and gold chain during his reflective stroll.

According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, Josh filed for divorce on July 15 after nearly three years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences" and asking for spousal support from the Christina on the Coast star.

Christina responded with a filing of her own on July 24, which laid out all the real estate at stake in the split and requested neither party be allowed to receive spousal support.

The interior designer was previously married to her former Flip or Flop co-host Tarek El Moussa from 2009 to 2018. Nearly a year after finalizing her divorce from El Moussa, she married Ant Anstead in December 2018. She and the British car expert finalized their divorce in June 2021.

Josh was also previously married. The former police officer wed a woman named Chelsea in August 2016. It's unclear when the marriage came to an end.

The Christina in the Country host is mom to three kids. She shares daughter Taylor, 13, and son Brayden, 8, with El Moussa. She welcomed her youngest, 4-year-old son Hudson, with Anstead in September 2019.

Christina and Josh started dating around March 2021, though they waited a few months before going public with their romance. At the time, a source told PEOPLE they shared "an immediate, real connection."

That summer, the California native addressed her love life on social media and she opened up about her anxiety about sharing her relationship with the world.

"I may be a bit crazy and I'm definitely not perfect but I will never live my life based on other peoples judgments or opinions," she wrote in a since-deleted post. "We pride ourselves on never judging others and always wanting others to be happy and we wish others would have the same respect."

At the time, she added, "So yes 'another relationship' and guess what. I'm 38 -I'll do what I want."

The duo announced their engagement in September 2021 and PEOPLE confirmed their nuptials the following April. In Josh's divorce filing, it was revealed they secretly wed in a October 2021.

Over Labor Day weekend in 2022, Josh and Christina celebrated their union again with an intimate Hawaiian ceremony on the island of Maui. She has since deleted their wedding photo from her Instagram page.

Since they got together, Josh has appeared on both of Christina's HGTV shows and was slated to be part of a new one, The Flip Off, alongside Christina, Tarek and Tarek's new wife, Selling Sunset alum Heather Rae El Moussa. The series, which was announced on May 15, would see the two couples facing off in a house flipping competition.

Since their split, multiple sources told PEOPLE that Christina has returned to filming without Josh. HGTV has not officially addressed the status of Josh's involvement with the series.
