Flavor Flav is looking ahead to the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

Fresh off a exciting trip to the 2024 Summer Olympics, the 65-year-old rapper — who help to sponsor the U.S. women's water polo team in Paris — said he has his sights set on another role when the event comes to Los Angeles in 2028: torchbearer.

During an interview on the Potlickin' podcast, Flav revealed that he's thrown his name into the ring to carry the Olympic torch at the next Games.

"Guess what? I got a feeling I might be one of them. I put in my bid already," he said on the show, hosted by California governor Gavin Newsom, agent Doug Hendrickson and retired NFL star Marshawn Lynch.

Flav continued, "I said, ‘If Snoop [Dogg] can carry the torch in Paris — come on, man — Flav can carry that bad boy in L.A.,’ and Snoop did a fantastic job, man.”

The Public Enemy rapper told the show's hosts that Snoop "rocked" the role of torchbearer during the July 26 ceremony. "Snoop got a nice payday out there, besides the payday, he did a good job and I know that man had a lot of fun out there," Flav said, adding, "Mad big ups to you, Snoop.”

Flav described his weeks in Paris for the Games as "a dream come true" and even ranked the Olympics as "a little" more exciting than attending the Super Bowl. “I ain’t going to lie, man, the Super Bowl...it’s exciting going to the Super Bowl, but this was a little bit more exciting."

Flav continued, “It’s like, wow, I’m finally here, and I’m finally getting to really experience and see this in real life with my own eyes, and being in that moment."

After the U.S. women's water polo team made Flav proud in Paris, the rapper invited some of the team's members to celebrate with him at a reunion in Las Vegas.

Water polo players Maggie Steffens, Rachel Fattal, Jordan Raney, Ashleigh Johnson and Emily Ausmus accepted Flav's invite and the group stayed at the Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World, watched Carrie Underwood perform live and partied on the strip.

"Brought some of the Team USA Water Polo Women out to Vegas,,, imma so proud of all these women," Flav wrote in a post on Instagram after the trip. "Look at all the support and attention brought to this sport and women’s athletics. We changing the game and that is something BIG to celebrate.”
