Daisy Edgar-Jones Is the Latest Celeb to Wear This Breezy Summer Alternative to Jeans

Daisy Edgar-Jones is blowing me away with her Twisters press looks. 

Most of us became familiar with the 26-year-old British actress in 2020 when she starred opposite Paul Mescal in the Hulu adaptation of Sally Rooney's bestselling novel Normal People. Now, she’s working with Hollywood superstylist Dani Michelle (the force behind Rosie-Huntington Whiteley, Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, and more) to raise her profile in advance of the premiere of Twisters — a sequel to 1996’s Twister — and it’s working.

Of the many fashion-forward options Edgar-Jones has sported this month, it’s her simple wide-leg pants and cropped cardigan combo I’m stealing for everyday wear.

Open Edit High Waist Wide-Leg Trousers

Breezy wide-leg pants have been a hit with stars all summer: Oprah Winfrey wore a billowing pair in Morocco this month, Katie Holmes sported an ultra wide-leg style in June for a Chanel luncheon, and Kelly Clarkson has been hosting her show in similar styles since May.

This pair from Nordstrom comes in seven colors, four of which are currently 25 percent off — including a tan shade similar to the pair Edgar-Jones sported. Besides the near-identical look and appealing price tag, I love that this pair has an elastic panel at the back waist for all day comfort.

Loft Modern Crew Neck Cardigan

Edgar-Jones wore her high-rise, wide-leg pants with a three-quarter length sleeve cropped black cardigan, showing off a sliver of midsection. You can recreate the look as is or with a slim white tank top underneath for a more conservative spin.
