Spectacular Chinese Lantern Festival Comes to Reston Area
Roer's Zoofari is hosting a one-of-a-kind holiday light show event that will run until Jan. 1.
RESTON, VA — The Reston Zoo is alive with the a fantastical color and light show this holiday season. Roer's Zoofari at 1228 Hunter Mill Road in Vienna has just kicked off a "Chinese Lantern Festival" that takes most evenings and promises an "authentic Chinese multicultural experience," according to the website.
The festival takes place every day except Mondays and Tuesdays from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. starting Nov. 16 and ending Jan. 1. Admission is $15 to $25.
"The Chinese Lantern Festival uses authentic Chinese lanterns to light up the night and create an enchanting evening," the website states. "The 2016 festival lanterns will highlight 'The Wild,' including lanterns in the form of animals from around the world, including; Africa, Antarctica, Asia, America and more. Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience authentic Chinese entertainment and multicultural shows."
