Lawrence High School's Buskin Society Theatre Students Present The Diary of Anne Frank
LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (NOVEMBER 2023)—Lawrence High School’s Buskin Society, a group of talented theatre students, recently performed a moving rendition of The Diary of Anne Frank under the direction of Ms. Shelly Goldman, Lawrence High School Drama Club Director and Chorus Director. The play is based on the diary of Anne Frank, a Jewish girl hiding out from the Nazis during World War II.
Ms. Goldman guided the students through the challenging material with sensitivity and expertise. Her dedication helped the students delve deep into their characters, bringing out emotionally resonant performances.
“I am incredibly proud of our students, the music department, and the stage crew for their dedication and hard work in bringing The Diary of Anne Frank to life,” said Ms. Goldman. “Their commitment to telling this important story with sensitivity and respect was truly remarkable. This performance was not just a testament to their talent, but also their understanding of the historical significance and emotional depth of the material.”
