Paige DeSorbo criticized for sheer corset dress at friend’s wedding: ‘Epic fail!’
This ain’t your average wedding guest dress.
Paige DeSorbo, 31, stirred up some controversy on Tuesday after posting pictures of the sheer, lace ensemble she wore to a friend’s wedding over the weekend.
“The most beautiful wedding I’ve ever been to,” she captioned the series of photos, adding multiple shots of the black, see-though design, which not only featured a corset top, but included a see-through, thigh-slit skirt that put her briefs on display.
The “Summer House” star kept the rest of her look somewhat simple, pairing the piece with black pumps, a coordinating clutch and minimal jewelry. But while she leaned into glam, old Hollywood vibes, styling her long hair in waves and parting it on the side, fans were still unsure if her bold pantsless outfit was appropriate.
“Amazing look, but eek 😬 competitive with the bride,” one person commented, while another agreed. “Usually a fan of all your looks but this just wasn’t wedding appropriate.”
Some did come to DeSorbo’s defense, pointing out how good she looked and noting that the event took place in the summer heat in Italy — but others weren’t convinced.
“Whoa 😧Black Sheer Lace Dress For An Outside Wedding!! Epic Fail!😬👎 So Inappropriate For The Occasion,” someone wrote.
Still, DeSorbo isn’t the only one who has worn a controversial wedding guest outfit.
Back in 2021, Kendall Jenner made headlines after showing up to her pal’s big day in a body-baring, cutout gown.
The “Giggly Squad” podcast host also isn’t a stranger to showing some skin.
She recently revealed the inspiration behind the sheer-paneled, white dress she wore to the “Summer House” season eight reunion, telling Page Six, “Zendaya is my lord and savior. Like, I subscribe to her religion. So whenever I have to do an evening gown look, I always just think, ‘What would Zendaya wear?’”
