‘Suits’ writer raves about Meghan Markle’s kind nature

Looks like Meghan Markle has found a knight in shining armor to defend her.

One of the writers on the Duchess’ old TV show, “Suits,” is taking her side against critics of her messy exit from the British royal family, by gushing publicly about how “warm” and “generous” she was to him and his family.

“Meghan is a highly intelligent, lovely, warm and empathetic person,” Rick Muirragui, who worked on the show for seven years, told Page Six.

He recalled first meeting Meghan when they both started on “Suits” at the same time in 2011.

He says the actress, who played the character Rachel Zane, emailed to thank him for the script and then advised him to pack an umbrella for his upcoming trip to the Toronto set as it was raining there.

“That’s a very Meghan thing to do,” he said. “She’s always someone who wants people to feel welcome and at home. She wanted me to feel comfortable.”

Muirragui says Markle’s hospitality spilled over on set, where she would always take time to hang out and take photos with visitors.

“My sister has so many pictures of her and Meghan,” the writer added.

“If you said, ‘I have my parents coming into town do you have any good restaurant recommendations?’ She would send you a three-page email with l2 different restaurants and tell you, ‘this place doesn’t take reservations but if you get there by 5 you can eat at the bar,'” he continued. “Just a warm, generous person.”

On Sunday night, Markle and Prince Harry sat down for a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in which they accused the royal family of racism and Markle revealed she had contemplated suicide.
