Brindisi, a port city in the Apulia region of southern Italy, the capital of the province of Brindisi, lies along the Adriatic Sea. Historically significant as a gateway to the East, Brindisi has served as a critical maritime hub since ancient times. The airport is located 5 km north of the city.
