Starting today, iTunes Songs for Japan album is on sale with proceeds benefiting disaster relief efforts for the Japanese Red Cross Society. And with 28 songs from music's biggest names, it's well worth the purchase!

PR Newswire reports that to help those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, iTunes Songs for Japan is on sale for $9.99.

The proceeds will be used for immediate relief and eventual recovery support in Japan.

The artists waived their royalties for the album in order to make sure as much support can be giving to the JRCS as possible.

Not only is a great cause, but the album won't disappoint fans. Over 30 musicians are featured on the album which has a track list of 38 hits.
