👀 WIL Video Alert! Check out this new Work Integrated Learning (WIL) video by our talented Master of Fine Arts (Creative Practice—Film) students from the Miramar Creative Centre. WIL is where academic learning meets real-world experience, and it's becoming a key focus here at Victoria University of Wellington. In this video, the production crew interview their fellow students across each of our Wellington campuses taking a very ‘meta’ approach to create an awesome snapshot into different WIL opportunities at Te Herenga Waka. You’ll hear from students working on projects across Management, Game Design and Landscape Architecture and get an insight into what working on industry-focused projects means to them. As a client, working with these Film students was a real pleasure and we look forward to seeing what they will do in the future. #WIL #FilmStudies #WhyWellington #MiramarCreativeCentre Faculty of Architecture and Design Innovation Wellington School of Business and Government #FHSS https://lnkd.in/gk5FmJ_z

Work-integrated learning (WIL) courses combine academic learning with practical experiences and the health internship is a great example of this. Students held their final internship presentations and celebrated the end of their Bachelor of Health degree on the last Friday of Trimester 2. The students worked with health and wellbeing organisations on projects ranging from social media plans to qualitative and quantitative research, cultural engagement, and community clinical support reviews. Our Senior Advisor, Work-Integrated Learning and Career Development, Alice Hodder works with Rochelle Ellison-Lupena, Lecturer in Hauora Māori on this course weaving skills and career development throughout. The aim is for students to get the most out of their experience and be more confident and work-ready to start their careers in the fields of Health and wellbeing. Ka pai to our students, we can’t wait to see what they do next!
