V-Quest | Athena Sustainable Materials Institute.   We're thrilled to announce a major milestone for V-Quest as we get to explore collaborating with the Athena Sustainable Materials Institute to help simplify carbon life cycle analysis in the built environment. Athena Sustainable Materials Institute is a non-profit organization focused on advancing sustainability in the built environment through life cycle analysis and related tools. Established in Canada and operating across North America, Athena provides critical data, software, and expertise to help architects, engineers, and policymakers make informed decisions that reduce the environmental impact of buildings and construction materials. We are thrilled to welcome RM Designs and Bernie O'Fagan's team to the V-Quest family! RM Designs began exploring V-Quest's carbon management tools with a trial version about a month ago. They’ve been actively using the platform to optimise designs on three remarkable projects in New Zealand. Recently, they reached out to not only commend us on developing an outstanding solution but also to request a 12-month pro license. They shared that, in addition to achieving impressive carbon reductions, V-Quest saved them $10,000 in external consultancy fees and reduced their project timelines by three weeks. They described V-Quest as a game-changer, enhancing their ability to demonstrate the feasibility of low-carbon construction to clients and streamlining their Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) processes. RM Designs has delivered several forward-thinking projects across New Zealand that set benchmarks in carbon reduction. These include the Hornby Working Club (Christchurch), Papanui Club (Christchurch), Monteith’s Brewery (Greymouth), The Wayward Pigeon (Hamilton), and Pounamu Pathway - Mawhera (Greymouth), with the latter being a finalist in the 2024 World Architectural Festival in Singapore.
